Imelda Vital, Executive Director of Seldia, the European Direct Selling Association, has passed away. She dedicated more than three decades to the direct selling industry and was widely respected across Europe and beyond.
Vital served on the boards of many direct selling associations and trade groups throughout her career. As Executive Director of Seldia, she played a key role in the organization’s growth and consolidation.
She helped shape Seldia into a strong and respected voice for the European direct selling industry. Her vision, commitment, and ability to bring people together left a lasting impact on the association and the wider sector.
Colleagues described Vital as more than an exceptional leader. She was a trusted colleague, mentor, and friend.
Her warmth, generosity, integrity, and genuine care for people touched everyone who worked with her. She believed strongly in collaboration and worked to strengthen relationships across the industry with professionalism and kindness.
On behalf of the Seldia Board of Directors, members, and the wider community, the association extended heartfelt condolences to Vital’s family, friends, and loved ones.
While mourning her loss, Seldia also celebrated her extraordinary legacy. Her contributions will continue to guide and inspire the European direct selling community for years to come.
Funeral services were held on Monday, 10 August, at the Church of Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur in Etterbeek, Brussels.
In line with the family’s wishes, no flowers or wreaths should be sent. Those wishing to honour her memory may donate to the Fondation Saint-Luc with the reference “In memory of Imelda Vital” (IBAN: BE41 1910 3677 7110).
