Karachi, Pakistan Medifast, Inc. (NYSE: MED), a leading health and wellness company, has officially appointed Nicholas Johnson as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026. Johnson will succeed Dan Chard, who will continue serving as Chairman of the Board.
This appointment follows the company’s planned leadership transition announced in January 2026. The Board of Directors expressed strong confidence in Nicholas Johnson’s ability to lead Medifast into its next phase of growth while maintaining strategic stability.
Dan Chard will remain actively involved as Chairman, providing guidance and oversight to support a seamless transition.
Nicholas Johnson currently serves as President of Medifast. He has nearly 20 years of experience in direct selling and joined Medifast in 2018. He has held several key leadership roles, including Market President of OPTAVIA USA, President of Coach and Client Experience, and Chief Field Operations Officer.
His deep understanding of the coach-led model has been instrumental in strengthening Medifast’s operations and adapting to market changes.
