Mary Kay Releases 2026 Sustainability Report Showcasing Global Impact

Mary Kay Inc. has released its 2026 Sustainability Report. The document outlines progress toward the company’s 2030 goals and highlights key achievements from 2025. Mary Kay continues its long-standing focus on social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

Commitment to Enriching Women’s Lives

Mary Kay’s mission of “enriching women’s lives” guides its business strategy and sustainability efforts. Ryan Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Mary Kay, stated: “Mary Kay’s commitment to enriching women’s lives continues to guide how we operate, innovate, and create sustainable impact across the beauty industry while advancing women’s entrepreneurship for all generations around the world. This report reflects the measurable progress we are making against our 2030 commitments and the transformative social, economic, and environmental change we are helping create for people, communities, and the planet.”

The company embeds sustainability across biodiversity, product stewardship, women’s empowerment, and digital innovation.

Key Environmental Achievements

Mary Kay advanced responsible packaging by reducing plastic intensity and increasing post-consumer recycled content. The Mary Kay TimeWise Targeted-Action Toning Lotion bottle, for example, contains 94% post-consumer recycled content.

The company prioritized sustainable paper sources for cartons, inserts, and shipping materials. All product paper cartons in the Americas and Europe are recycle-ready. Mary Kay aims for 90% of product cartons to be certified globally by 2030 and supports the Forest Stewardship Council.

Mary Kay maintains partnerships with the Global Shea Alliance (since 2023) and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (since 2014). At its Richard R. Rogers Manufacturing/R&D Center in Texas, 100% of water used is treated and recycled back into the local watershed. The company also marked 39 years of partnership with The Nature Conservancy, supporting more than 100 conservation projects.

Social Impact and Women’s Empowerment

Through Pink Changing Lives, Mary Kay and its foundations have donated more than $230 million in monetary and in-kind support since 1996. These funds support cancer research, domestic violence survivors, and opportunities for women and families.

Globally, more than 600,000 women have benefited from Mary Kay-led empowerment programs focused on entrepreneurship, education, and community development. In 2025, the company continued its partnership with the City of Lewisville, the local school district foundation, and INCubatoredu to support high school entrepreneurial education.

Mary Kay awarded 51 grants totaling more than $234,000 to young women from 17 countries pursuing STEM careers. It also provided 10 grants through the Madam C.J. Walker Scholarships. More than 300 young women gained exposure to STEM pathways through experiences at the company’s R&D center. Mary Kay served as a Special Award Organization at the International Science and Engineering Fair in 2024 and 2025, awarding 18 grants.

Economic Progress and Digital Growth

Women hold 63% of executive team roles, 64% of research and development scientist positions, 79% of global brand and creative team roles, 63% of the global workforce, and 60% of leadership positions in Mary Kay’s top 10 markets.

The company operates in 40 markets and celebrated multiple anniversaries in 2025, including 45 years in Argentina, 30 years in China and Portugal, and 25 years in several other countries.

Mary Kay advanced its digital transformation with a cloud-first strategy. Over 95% of custom applications migrated to integrated SaaS platforms. A major milestone was the launch of the My Shop platform in Germany and the United States. My Shop gives Independent Beauty Consultants personalized online storefronts fully integrated with e-commerce, payment, and fulfillment systems. Global rollout continues in 2026.

The company’s manufacturing center achieved ISO 22716 certification, the global standard for Good Manufacturing Practices in cosmetics. Mary Kay also engaged with more than 100 trade associations on policy issues related to direct selling, entrepreneurship, personal care, and supply chains.
