Companies are placing greater focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance as investors and stakeholders demand greater transparency. To support this shift, Natura has introduced a free digital platform that helps businesses measure the real value of their sustainability efforts and understand their broader social and environmental impact.
Natura has unveiled The Future P&L, a free digital platform that enables organizations across different industries to evaluate the impact of their ESG initiatives. The tool is based on Natura’s Integrated Profit and Loss (iP&L) framework, which measures both financial performance and the value created through sustainability and social responsibility.
The platform allows businesses to gain a clearer picture of how their operations contribute to environmental protection, community development, and long term business growth.
The Future P&L is built using the same methodology that Natura applies to its own operations. Along with financial results, the iP&L framework evaluates important ESG factors such as carbon emissions, carbon offsetting, circular economy practices, biome conservation, environmental regeneration, and income generation across its business network.
According to Natura’s 2022 assessment, every R$1 in company revenue generated an additional R$2.7 in positive benefits for society, highlighting the broader value of sustainable business practices.
The platform features an interactive calculator that analyzes operational data related to a company’s workforce, supplier network, plastic waste, and social investment programs. It then converts these activities into financial values using recognized monetary assessment methods.
This approach provides organizations with a comprehensive view of how their ESG initiatives create measurable economic, environmental, and social value.
Natura aims to become a 100 percent regenerative company by 2050. The launch of The Future P&L represents another important step toward achieving that vision.
By offering the platform free of charge, Natura hopes to encourage more businesses to measure, improve, and expand their positive impact. The company also seeks to inspire investors, business leaders, and stakeholders to embrace regenerative business models and accelerate the adoption of multi capital accounting across the private sector.
