SEOUL, South Korea In a landmark achievement for South Korean business, Atomy has claimed the No. 1 spot in the Small & Medium category of Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list. It is the first South Korean company to reach the region’s top ranking, based on feedback from more than 3.8 million employees across Asia evaluating trust in leadership, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
This year’s recognition stands out because the assessment expanded beyond Atomy’s South Korean headquarters and its Chinese and Philippine operations to include Cambodia and Indonesia. Securing the top position across five regions highlights how the company’s culture has taken root internationally. The win builds on strong domestic results: Atomy ranked among Korea’s Best Workplaces for the sixth consecutive year in February 2026 (second overall), earned Global ESG Human Rights Management certification, and was named a Best Workplace for Parents. Chairman Han-Gill Park (also referred to as Park Han-gill or Han-gil Park) became the first South Korean CEO named one of the country’s Most Respected CEOs for six straight years.

Atomy credits its “Cherishing the Spirit” philosophy rooted in what Park calls the “Baby Philosophy”which treats employees as individuals rather than tools for performance. Company representatives say the ranking shows this people-first approach travels well across borders.
Born in 1956, Park graduated from Salesio High School in Gwangju (1977) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce and Trade from Kyounggi University in 1985. He later completed an MBA (2016) and Ph.D. in Business Administration (2020) from Woosong University.
Before Atomy, Park spent about 17 years in the automobile parts manufacturing sector. He rose through roles involving production, cost control, and working with large clients such as Hyundai-related operations, developing a deep focus on efficiency and squeezing value from every process experience he later applied to product pricing.
In his 30s, during a business trip to Australia, Park encountered network marketing. He returned to Korea, joined a direct-selling company as a salesperson, and reached the highest rank. The company later closed, wiping out the organization he had built. He then launched an online shopping mall, im-korea.com (around 1999–2002), applying direct-selling techniques, but it failed due to weak infrastructure and limited consumer awareness, leaving him with significant personal and financial setbacks, including health challenges and credit issues.
Determined to create the company he could not find one offering truly good products at truly affordable prices Park founded Atomy in 2009 (formally established around June 1). The early days were modest: meetings in a shabby duck restaurant in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, with a worn-out car and a small group of 17–18 people facing hard times. He promised early members that reaching Imperial Master rank would bring 1 billion KRW rewards; some later achieved it.
Park’s philosophy centers on “Absolute Quality, Absolute Price,” consumer success over pure membership growth, honesty, and treating people as ends rather than means. He is a practicing Christian who describes himself as a steward of resources meant for sharing. He has served as President of the Korea Direct Selling Association (since 2019), a Council member of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), founder of Dreamy School, and held earlier leadership roles in industry associations.
Atomy Co., Ltd. is a privately held company headquartered in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do (Atomy Park). Shareholder structure is family-controlled: Park Han-gil holds 25%, his wife Do Kyung-hee (Kyoung Hee Do, Vice Chairman) holds 25%, and their children Park Ji-hoon and Park Han-gyul each hold 25%. The family has received substantial dividends in recent years (reported around 40 billion KRW annually in 2024–2025), which the company has described as within normal ranges for profitable Korean firms while retaining earnings for reinvestment.
Park serves as Chairman (with co-CEO responsibilities noted alongside figures such as Yoon Yong-soon in some reports). The company operates with a relatively lean employee base (hundreds at headquarters level) while supporting a vast global membership network. It emphasizes partner relationships with manufacturers (notably one primary partner per product line, cash payments, and support for partners’ growth) rather than heavy vertical integration.
Launched on a shoestring after personal setbacks, Atomy focused from day one on high-quality consumables sold through a free-to-join model with no mandatory kits or autoship. Flagship product HemoHIM (an immune-supporting herbal liquid developed with Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute technology and manufactured by partners such as Kolmar BNH) was repositioned from a high-priced offering to an accessible price point through volume production and efficiency classic application of Park’s manufacturing cost discipline. Cumulative sales of HemoHIM have reached multi-trillion KRW levels.
The company expanded rapidly: U.S. entry in 2010, followed by dozens of markets. By recent counts it operates in 27+ countries/regions across Asia, the Americas, Europe, and beyond, with products available more widely. Revenue has hovered in the $1.5–1.8+ billion range in recent years (around $1.83 billion in 2024 per industry trackers), ranking it among the top global direct sellers. Membership exceeds 20 million registered users. Growth has been consumer-driven rather than purely recruitment-heavy, with a binary compensation structure that rewards balanced team volume and lifetime accumulation of points.
Philanthropy is visible: Park’s family made the largest three-generation Family Honor Society donation in Korea (over 1.1 billion KRW), and the company has directed significant portions of profits to sharing initiatives.
Atomy’s portfolio spans health supplements (HemoHIM remains the flagship), skincare (Absolute CellActive line and other systems), personal care, household goods, and more hundreds of items under the Absolute Quality, Absolute Price banner. Products are sourced or developed with Korean partners emphasizing efficacy, safety, and competitive pricing achieved through scale.
HemoHIM receives the most attention. Clinical studies (including randomized trials) have examined immune markers, fatigue reduction, exercise performance, and even potential benefits in specific hospital settings such as ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention. Users commonly report improved energy, fewer seasonal illnesses, and better recovery with consistent use over weeks to months. Mild digestive warmth or adjustment effects are the most frequently noted side effects; serious issues appear rare in available data. It is positioned as a health functional food, not a medicine.
Skincare lines, especially Absolute CellActive, earn praise for rich, multi-step anti-aging routines that feel premium yet remain more accessible than department-store equivalents. Household and personal-care items (toothpaste, hair care, cleaners) are frequently described as high-quality everyday staples that encourage repeat purchases. Independent reviews and member feedback generally rate product value highly, with the free membership and no-pressure buying model cited as strengths. Business opportunity results vary widely many treat it primarily as a buying club, while residual income becomes meaningful mainly at higher ranks requiring substantial balanced group volume.
Critics of network marketing models note the usual challenges around income disclosure and recruitment emphasis in some markets, though Atomy’s free entry and consumable product focus distinguish it from higher-risk structures.
Atomy’s Asia workplace ranking reinforces the narrative Park has promoted since the duck-restaurant days: a company built on principles, efficiency learned in manufacturing, consumer value, and genuine regard for people can scale globally. Whether the culture continues to travel successfully into new markets will be the next test of the “Cherishing the Spirit” philosophy that started with one determined founder and a small group of believers.
