Norwegian entrepreneurs Ørjan Sæle and Hilde Sæle founded Zinzino in 2005 near Oslo. The company began by selling coffee machines and lifestyle products. In 2012 it shifted focus to health after acquiring BioActive Foods and launching the Balance concept. This included the BalanceTest blood test and BalanceOil supplements. Zinzino AB was formally established in 2007 and listed on Nasdaq First North. The founders remain major shareholders. Ørjan Sæle holds a significant ownership stake and the title of 7 Star Global President in the partner network.
Zinzino is a public limited company listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market under the ticker ZZ-B.ST. Headquarters are in Gothenburg, Sweden. CEO Dag Bergheim Pettersen has led the company since 2012. He previously held senior roles at Elgiganten, Alcatel and Telia Sonera’s NetCom. Chairman of the Board is Hans Jacobsson, who has served since 2007. The founders and their family remain the largest owners with substantial voting rights. Independent partners form the global sales force across more than 100 markets.
Zinzino specializes in test-based, personalized nutrition and scientific skincare. The flagship Balance concept uses dried blood spot tests to measure omega-3 and omega-6 levels. Results guide customers to BalanceOil and other supplements. The portfolio also includes immune support, gut health products, weight management items and the HANZZ+HEIDII biotech skincare brand. The company owns Norwegian research and production units BioActive Foods AS and Faun Pharma AS. It co-owns a Cypriot olive oil producer.
Zinzino has grown rapidly through acquisitions of other health and wellness companies. Recent deals include assets from It Works!, Enhanzz Global, Truvy, Bodē Pro, Valentus, Zurvita, Xelliss and Sanki Global. These moves expand the partner base and product range, especially in North America and Europe. The company continues to invest in research, production and market openings while focusing on long-term profitable growth across five continents.
