Natura & Co, a global leader in the beauty and personal care industry, has reported a remarkable 21% increase in revenue, reaching $5.65 billion USD in 2024. This growth is a significant leap from the $4.67 billion USD recorded in 2023. The revenue in Brazilian Reals (BRL) surged from BRL 26.503 billion in 2023 to BRL 32.051 billion in 2024, reflecting the company’s strong market performance and strategic decisions.
Fábio Barbosa, Group CEO of Natura & Co, highlighted the importance of 2024 in the company’s ongoing simplification strategy, which was first introduced in July 2022. Key actions taken during the year include:
Completion of Wave 2 Integration: The successful integration of Natura and Avon in Brazil, marking a crucial milestone for the company’s Latin American operations.
Operational Restructuring: The voluntary restructuring of Avon Products Inc. (API) was concluded in December, strengthening financial stability.
Divestments & Deleveraging: The strategic sale of Aesop and The Body Shop (TBS) helped streamline operations and reduce debt.
A key highlight of the year was Natura & Co’s $125 million credit bid to regain control of Avon International entities outside the U.S. Additionally, to support Avon Products Inc.’s voluntary Chapter 11 filing, a cash payment of $34 million USD was made, as previously disclosed.
The Latin American (Latam) market remained a core driver of revenue, with a strong year-end holiday gift campaign boosting sales in the fourth quarter. However, investments in:
Innovation and structural projects
IT upgrades (classified as operational expenses – Opex)
Marketing initiatives
impacted short-term profitability. These efforts, however, are expected to lay the foundation for sustained long-term growth in the region.
Natura & Co continues to lead the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability:
Ranked as the company with the best reputation in Brazil for the 11th consecutive year.
Recognized among the top 15 sustainability reports by Reporting Matters Brazil, a CEBDS initiative, further validating its transparency and accountability.
With a streamlined corporate structure, strategic investments, and a growing presence in Latin America, Natura & Co is well-positioned for continued success in the beauty and personal care industry.
