The USANA Foundation, the charitable arm of USANA Health Sciences, has once again demonstrated its deep commitment to community welfare by delivering thousands of nutritious meals to children across Utah during the winter school break. This impactful initiative reflects USANA’s long-standing mission of improving lives through health, nutrition, and compassionate service.
During the recent holiday season, the Foundation distributed 5,143 holiday food bags, providing a remarkable 205,720 meals to families and children who rely heavily on school meal programs. These efforts supported 65 schools across Utah, from Logan to Payson, ensuring that children continued to receive proper nutrition even when schools were closed.
For many families, school meal programs are a vital source of daily nutrition for children. When schools close for holidays, this support temporarily disappears, creating a serious challenge for vulnerable households. The USANA Foundation’s Holiday Bag Project was designed specifically to address this gap.
Each holiday food bag contained 40 balanced meals, helping families maintain food security during a time when resources can be stretched thin. The initiative provided over $128,575 worth of in-kind food donations, reinforcing the Foundation’s role as a reliable partner in the fight against hunger.
A key strength behind this initiative was the incredible dedication of volunteers. A total of 632 volunteers, representing 158 families and organizations, contributed 1,896 service hours to assemble and distribute the food bags.
USANA employees and corporate partners actively participated, reflecting the company’s strong internal culture of service. This hands-on involvement highlights how USANA’s values go beyond products and business, focusing on real-world impact and community uplift.
Michelle Benedict, Director of Global Programs for the USANA Foundation, emphasized that food insecurity remains a pressing issue in Utah, particularly for children who depend on school meals as their primary source of nutrition. She noted that the Holiday Bag Project plays a critical role in ensuring families are not left without support during school breaks.
Brian Paul, President of the USANA Foundation, reinforced this message by stating that fighting hunger, both locally and globally, has always been a core commitment of USANA. He praised the collaborative efforts of volunteers, partners, and the Foundation team for making a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of families.
The holiday initiative is only one part of USANA Foundation’s broader mission. Throughout 2025, the Foundation’s USANA Kids Eat program delivered 46,738 weekend food bags, equivalent to 327,166 meals, to 49 schools across Utah.
This consistent, year-round support ensures children receive reliable nutrition not only during holidays but also throughout the school year, helping them stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn.
Founded in 2012, the USANA Foundation was created to combat hunger and malnutrition through sustainable, nutritious food solutions. Since its inception, the Foundation has helped provide millions of meals across more than 44 countries, supported by donations from USANA employees, Brand Partners, and global supporters.
The Foundation’s work reflects a powerful blend of global vision and local action, making a lasting impact in communities that need it most.
